Vickie Diana Reavis Hinson, 70, of Statesville, N.C., passed away surrounded by her family on Tuesday, August 26, 2025, following a brief illness. She was born in Iredell County on February 23, 1955, to the late William Dwight Reavis and Shirley Mae Mowbray. Vickie was of the Baptist Faith.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Marshall, Raymond, and Billy; one sister, Sherry; one son, Christopher David Lambert; and one daughter, Cindy Deanna Lambert.

Survivors include her husband of 18 years, Odell Hinson of the home; two sons, Kenny Lambert of Statesville and David Lambert (Steven Gilbert) of Wilkesboro; one step-son, Michael Hinson of New York; three daughters, Rhonda Barnhardt (Scott) of Denton, Diane Menscer of Taylorsville, and Tammy Kale (Andrew) of Statesville; and step daughter, Michelle Miller (Dennis) of Statesville; one sister, Jennifer Jarvis; best friend, Dorothy Howard; and a number of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday, August 31, 2025, at 3 p.m. at Chapman Funeral Home. Pastor Llyod Jarvis will officiate. The family will receive friends from 1:30 to 3 p.m. at Chapman Funeral Home.
