Mr. Hildred Martin Mayberry, 91, went to be with his Lord and Savior on September 3, 2025. Mr. Mayberry passed away peacefully surrounded by his family and loved ones. He was born in Statesville, N.C., on January 11, 1934, to the late Marvin and Elizabeth Mayberry.

Hildred worked at GE in Hickory, N.C., for twenty-five years before retiring. He also worked for 15 years at Southern Screw in Statesville, N.C. Mr. Mayberry was an excellent welder by trade, but loved fishing, boating, camping, hunting, and watching TV westerns. As a younger man, he loved his Harley Davidson motorcycle and an Indian motorcycle. The real true love of his life was his wife of 61 years, the late Frances Deal Mayberry, whom he married in April, 1952. He was proud of his large family and loved spending time with all of them. Mr. Mayberry enjoyed his church family and eating at the Sunshine Restaurant. He had a quick wit and was considered the jokester of the family.

Mr. Mayberry was predeceased by his sons, Daniel, Tommy, and Jerry. He is survived by his son, David Mayberry, and daughter, Barbara Mayberry Willard. He is also survived by his special friend, Jeanette Warnen. Mr. Mayberry had six grandchildren, Josh Mayberry, Justin Mayberry, Melissa (Jesse) Hines, April Deal, Linda (Matt) Trexler, and Andrew (Cindy) Willard. He also enjoyed his 10 great grandchildren, Madison Barnette, Ali and Averi Hines, Gunner Morrow, Jackson and Isaiah Trexler, Elijah Deal, Amanda, Faith, and Mary Willard, and two more on the way. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

The family of Mr. Mayberry would like to invite you to visitation on Monday, September 8, 2025, at 2 p.m. with the funeral service immediately following at 3 p.m. at Monticello Baptist Church, 3603 Taylorsville Hwy., Statesville, NC to reminisce, grieve, and support each other. Burial will be at Iredell Memorial Gardens, Statesville, N.C.
