Adriene Veronica Cowan, 62, was born in Iredell County, on March 14, 1963, to Mitchell Lewis Cowan and Janice Beatrice Cowan. She entered into eternal life on Sunday, September 7, 2025, at her residence.

She attended the Iredell County School System, and she worked as a chef and cook for a restaurant. Adriene served in the United States Marine Corps, where she was honorably discharged. She was a member of Judah Hebriac Faith Church. Adriene will truly be missed.

She leaves to cherish the memories of her life one son, Mark Edward Johnson II of the home; one daughter, Janette Nichole Stevenson of the home; three sisters, Angela Mitchette Dalton (Denny), of Harmony, Monica Chlesa Cowan of the home; and Karla Patrice Turner (Jody ) of Turnersburg; two grandchildren, Myron Lewis Stevenson and Christian Marcell Stevenson; a host of uncles, aunts, other cousins, and friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Rutledge and Bigham Funeral Home and the burial will be held in the National Cemetery, Salisbury, N.C., with military rites. Date to be announced.
