Dawne Michelle Shue Justice, 60, of Troutman, N.C., passed away on Sunday, August 31, 2025.

She was born on January 27, 1965, in Rowan County, N.C., to the late Buddy and Brenda Thomas Shue. Dawne was recently disabled but previously worked at Shoney’s in Statesville. She loved animals and enjoyed sitting on her front porch listening to the birds.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Barbara Shue; brother, John “Bo” Talbert; and nephew, Jake Hughes.

She is survived by her loving husband of 15 years, Michael Justice; son, Chad Honeycutt; brother, Jeff Shue; sister-in-law, Terry Justice Hughes; special aunt, Sandy Aycoth; six grandchildren, two great grandchildren, and nephews, Travis, Jesse, and Jarrett.

A Memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, September 13, 2025, at Whitman Park Baptist Church, Mooresville, N.C., with Rev. Trent Patterson officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Cavin-Cook Funeral Home & Crematory, 494 E. Plaza Drive, Mooresville, NC 28115, to help with the funeral expenses.
