The Iredell-Statesville Schools Board of Education recognized the district’s teachers of the year during the board’s September meeting.

“These individuals have gone above and beyond in their roles, demonstrating excellence in teaching, unwavering commitment to student success and a passion for lifelong learning,” said I-SS Executive Director of Human Resources Jill Parker.

“Their creativity, resilience and ability to adapt in an ever-evolving educational landscape make them stand out as true leaders within I-SS,” she added.

NCCAT Beginning Teacher of the Year Award

The school board also recognized this year’s North Carolina Center for the Advancement of Teaching (NCCAT) Beginning Teacher of the Year Noah Estes from Lake Norman High School. According to Parker, many beginning teachers were nominated from their schools and completed portfolios that were reviewed by the selection committee. Estes will represent Iredell-Statesville Schools at the state level.

I-SS Principal of the Year
