Nancy Hewitt Bell, 76, of Statesville, N.C., passed away peacefully at home on September 13, 2025.

Nancy was born in Statesville in 1948. In 1967, she married Craig Bell, beginning a 58-year partnership built on love and devotion. Together they raised two daughters, who were the center of her world. A devoted homemaker, her greatest accomplishment was raising her daughters and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her warmth, kindness, and dedication to those she loved will be deeply missed.

Nancy is survived by her husband, Craig Bell; daughters, Ginger (Larry) Waddell and Amber (Clark) Reese; grandchildren, Justin (Miranda) Waddell, Meaghan (Matt) Freeze, Carter Reese, and Walker Reese; and great-grandchildren, Hunter, Sadie, and Mason Freeze.

The family extends special thanks to Marty Driggers for her care, support, and friendship to Nancy and Craig. Her kindness and assistance were invaluable, and her friendship deeply cherished.

On Wednesday, September 24, 2025, at Troutman Funeral Home, the family will have visitors from 1 to 2 p.m., and a service to celebrate Nancy’s life will be held at 2 p.m. with burial to follow at Iredell Memorial Gardens.
