Iredell County Animal Services invites the community to join in the Halloween fun at the 5th Annual Reverse Trick-or-Treat on Friday, October 24, from 4 to 5 p.m. at the shelter, located at 430 Bristol Drive, Statesville.
At this unique event, participants dress up in costumes and hand out treats to the shelter’s adoptable dogs. After the dogs enjoy their goodies, attendees can take part in a festive Trunk-or-Treat and collect treats of their own.
No supplies are needed to participate, although guests are encouraged to bring an unopened, unexpired large bag of dry adult dog food to help stock the community pet food pantry. Donors will be entered into a drawing to win a basket of goodies.
“This is always the happiest hour of the year for our shelter pets,” Iredell County Animal Services officials said. “It’s a wonderful way to celebrate Halloween while giving back to animals in need.”
