Phyllis Elizabeth Hutto Clark, born May 14, 1935, in Iredell County, N.C., peacefully passed away on September 20, 2025, in Salisbury, N.C., at the age of 90.
Phyllis devoted many years of her life working as a dedicated knitter in the textile industry at Piedmont Knitting. Her warm personality and love for people made her a cherished friend to all who knew her. She was an active member of Hillside Baptist Church, where she found community and faith.
Phyllis was preceded in death by her loving parents, William and Laura Brawley Hutto; her husbands, Clyde Pierce, Bobby Brymer, and Kenneth Clark; as well as her sons, Johnny Lambert, Ronnie Pierce, and Don Pierce.
She leaves behind a legacy of love through her daughters, Kathy Hutto and Debbie Pierce; her daughter-in-law, Jackie Pierce; her grandchildren, Seth (Rebekah) Pierce, Brian (Megan) Pierce, Jasper Pierce, and Crystal Pierce; and several great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, September 24, 2025, at Oakwood Cemetery, where family and friends will gather to celebrate her life and bid farewell to a beloved mother, grandmother, and friend.
Phyllis will be remembered for her kind heart, enduring strength, and the joy she brought to those around her. May she rest in peace, forever cherished in our memories.
