Judy Davis Young, 78, of Mooresville, N.C., passed away on Tuesday, September 23, 2025, at Novant Health Huntersville Medical Center.

She was born on January 8, 1947, in Mooresville, N.C., to the late Harry Eugene and Dorothy Pender Davis. Mrs. Young was a 1965 graduate of Mooresville High School. She retired from the U.S. Postal Service and was a member of Southside Baptist Church in Mooresville. She enjoyed baking, decorating cakes, and selling at the Working Fingers Festival in Mooresville. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Rose “Jackie” Davis and Cathy Fowler; and grandchildren, Landon Young and Kylie Young.

She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Steve Young Sr.; sons, Stephen Young Jr. (Marla), Scott Young (Kristie), and Jeff Young (Kimberly); grandchildren, Anna, Wanyi (Jenny), Reagan, Kinsley, Morgan, Josh, Elizabeth, Stephanie, Jacob, and Justis; 12 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, September 27, from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. with a service following at 2 p.m. at Southside Baptist Church, Mooresville, with Rev. Hal Greene and Rev. Gary Sowell officiating. Burial will follow the service in the Coddle Creek ARP Church Cemetery, 2297 Coddle Creek Hwy., Mooresville, N.C.
