The court system in Iredell County will undergo an historic transformation with the implementation of eCourts in October.

The official “go live” date is October 13. Residents should anticipate limited court services during the transition period as the Clerk of Superior Court’s office prepares for this major technological upgrade.

Beginning October 1, the courts will not be able to accept credit or debit card payments.

From October 8 through October 13, the Clerk’s office will experience a crossover period during which both legacy systems and the new eCourts applications will be inaccessible. During this time, public access to court records and services will be extremely limited.

“We are excited to increase access to justice in Iredell County through eCourts,” said Iredell County Clerk of Superior Court Jim Mixson. “For a brief period before the transition, electronic records and indexes will be unavailable. I want to recognize our incredible deputy and assistant clerks of court, who are working tirelessly and putting in countless hours of overtime to make this transformation a success.

“Moving from more than 40 legacy applications to one integrated system will fundamentally improve how our courts operate and serve the public,” he added.
