Cathy Aileen Josey Foster, 64, of Statesville, N.C., passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 1, 2025, at the Gordon Hospice House with her loving family by her side.

Born on October 18, 1960, in Griffin, Ga., she was the daughter of the late Charles Mack Josey and Nancy Pauline Wilson Lowrance.

Cathy had a creative spirit and enjoyed making crafts, especially Christmas ornaments, which she loved to give as gifts. She was a longtime collector of Dalmatians and had a friendly, outgoing personality — she truly never met a stranger. More than anything, Cathy was a loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who cherished her family with all her heart. Her love and kindness will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.

Those left to cherish her memory include her beloved husband of 43 years, Ronald Curtis Foster; son, Matthew Charles (Danielle Watkins) Foster; step-children, Jennifer Ann (William Houstoun) Foster and Travis Alen (Angela) Foster; sister, Beth (Gary) Bruner; grandchildren, Kaci Morgan Foster, Finley Foster, Rock Foster, Lilliana Foster, Liam Foster, and Lynley Foster, who will all miss her dearly.

The family is planning a celebration of life service at a later date.
