
On October 4, 2025, Robert “Bob” Craven Cashion, a beloved and respected member of the Mooresville, N.C., community, passed away at the age of 95. Many friendships were made while running John’s Exxon with his father. He will be dearly missed.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 66 years, Peggy Cashion; his parents John and Mary Catherine “Kitty” Cashion; and son-in-law Phil Alexander.
He is survived by his daughter, Nina Alexander; grandson, Shea Alexander; granddaughter, Blair (Tommy) Knox; and great-grandchildren, Maddox Alexander and Hallie Knox.
A graveside service will be held at 4 p.m. on Tuesday, October 7, 2025, at Coddle Creek ARP Church, Mooresville, with Rev. Andrew Shoger officiating.

Nina: Sorry for your loss. My Dad and Bob were very good friends.
My condolences to your family. Bob (and Phil) serviced my company car to insure my safety on the road. Bob always greeted me with a smile and a story. In addition, he and Peggy were great neighbors. It was always good to run into Bob in town and have a pleasant exchange with him. He was an old school mechanic with Jesus in his heart.
