William Joseph Towe, 63, of Hickory, N.C., passed away on Thursday, October 16, 2025, at Carolina Caring in Newton, N.C. He was born December 20, 1961, in Onondaga County, N.Y., the son of Marion Lagassie Gill and the late David Gill.

William was of the Catholic faith. When he was able to work, he was a machinist. He loved working on electronics, playing the guitar, and when he was able he enjoyed working outside.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a sister, Paula Towe, and a brother, William John Towe.

In addition to his mother, those left to cherish and honor William’s memories include his wife, Revonda Self Towe of the home; his daughters, Alicia Towe of the home, Amber Towe (Justin Colley) of Granite Falls, and Amanda Towe of the home; his son, Adam Towe of the home; his grandson, Tyler Colley; his sisters, Kelly Cloninger (Mark) and Sheryl Briggs (Howard), all of Catawba County; his brother, Randy Towe of Kentucky; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.

The funeral service will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Friday, October 24, 2025, in the Adams Funeral Home Chapel. Dr. James Smith will officiate. Burial will follow in the Catawba Memorial Park Cemetery.
