Herman Page Estes, 92, of Stony Point, N.C., passed away unexpectedly on November 11, 2025, at the Gordon Hospice House following a brief illness. He was born in Iredell County on October 11, 1933, to the late Ernest Lee Estes and Lottie Messick Estes.

Herman was a member of Stony Point Baptist Church and enjoyed hunting and trout fishing. He graduated from Stony Point High in 1951.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Doris Isenhour Estes; five brothers, Dewey Estes, Dwight Estes, Homer Estes, Elmer Estes, and Marvin Estes; one sister, Hazel Estes Moose; and one great-grandson, Justin Fortner.

Survivors include three daughters, Linda Horn and husband Wayne of Hiddenite, Connie Fortner and husband Tommy of Stony Point, and Susan Estes of Stony Point; eight grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted on Sunday, November 16, 2025, at 3 p.m. at Stony Point Baptist Church. Pastor Dwight Austin and Pastor Rick Norman will officiate. Burial will follow at the church cemetery. The family will receive friends 2 to 3 p.m. at Stony Point Baptist Church fellowship hall. Pallbearers will be his grandsons.
