Iredell County Sheriff Darren Campbell announced the arrests of more than 30 individuals on various felony and misdemeanor drug charges as part of the ICSO Fall Narcotics Enforcement Operation.

Deputies are seeking more than 50 suspects. Of those, 33 have been arrested so far. After being taken into custody, each arrested individual was brought before a magistrate, who reviewed the charges and issued bond. The remaining 21 individuals are still actively wanted by the Sheriff’s Office.

“Every one of these individuals either sold narcotics directly to undercover law enforcement officers, facilitated the sale of controlled substances, or possessed controlled substances in the presence of law enforcement,” Campbell said. “Operations like this send a clear message that Iredell County has zero tolerance for those who wish to profit from and commit crimes against our citizens. Our Narcotics Division continues to focus on dismantling the networks that bring drugs and the violence associated with them into Iredell County.”

These arrests are the result of extensive investigative work by the Narcotics Division and ACE Team, who have spent months targeting, surveilling, and documenting illegal drug activity, Campbell said. Their efforts, combined with cooperation from patrol deputies and other divisions within the ICSO, have led to significant disruptions in the local drug trade, he added.

“Our deputies are out there every day following up on citizen complaints, identifying drug houses, and building cases that take time and patience,” Campbell said. “Their commitment to targeting drug dealers and repeat offenders directly contributes to lowering crime and improving quality of life across Iredell County.”
