
Peggy Ervin Harsey, 85, of Mooresville, N.C., passed away on Saturday, November 15, 2025, at her home. She was born on July 12, 1940, to the late Albert Ervin and Bertha Mayhew Ervin Eddings.
Peggy was a hairstylist at Margaret’s Beauty Salon for many years. She was a member of Williamson’s Chapel United Methodist Church and was a former member of Women of the Moose, Mooresville Lodge. Peggy loved to dance, going to the beach, surf fishing, and family get-togethers, especially during the holidays. She also enjoyed weekly gatherings and occasional trips with her She Shedder friends where she reigned as “the Queen.”
In addition to her parents, Peggy was preceded in death by her husband, James “Jim” Marvin Harsey; and siblings, Kenneth D. Ervin, Gary E. Ervin, and Betty Sue Tadlock.
She is survived by her daughters, Kim Brewer (Gary) and Molly Wines (Jimmy); her beloved partner, Glenn Connelly; her precious fur baby, Bianca; grandchildren, Ashley Garner (Kyle), Austin Brewer (Kelly), Brian Wines (Brittany), Dexter Wines, and Jessie Wines; and eleven great-grandchildren.
Visitation for family and friends will be Wednesday, November 19, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Cavin-Cook Funeral Home and Crematory. Services will be held on Thursday, November 20, at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Williamson’s Chapel United Methodist Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
