Aileen “Ann” Garr, 78, of Hiddenite, N.C., passed away on Sunday, November 16, 2025, at Iredell Memorial Hospital. She was born June 16, 1947, in Cleveland County, N.C., the daughter of the late Fletcher Brittain and Margaret Setzer Philbeck.

Ann worked as a CNA for the Brian Center and also had worked for Shuford Mills. She was of the Christian faith. She enjoyed fishing, working, and taking care of people.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Shirley Farris.

Those left to cherish and honor Ann’s memories include her husband, Dennis James Garr of the home; her daughter, Dana Garr of the home; her sons, Donald Richard and fiancée, Jessica Neal, of Lincoln County, and Paul Richard; and her grandchildren, Olin Gonzalez, Brianna Clark, Hannah Clark, Bentley Clark, Christopher Richard, India Beal, Corey Richard, Ricky Richard, Dillon Richard, and Ashlyn Richard.
