Mary Frances Campbell Parker, 83, of Mooresville, N.C., reunited with her husband and loved ones who went before her on Saturday, November 15, 2025, but even more than that she is now with her Heavenly Father!

She was born on May 14, 1942 in Mooresville. Frances was the daughter of Dorothy Spry Coggins and George C. Campbell. Mrs. Parker worked with Cathlab at Charlotte Memorial Hospital, including phlebotomy. She was a phlebotomist and later retired as the Lab Supervisor from Oconee Hospital in South Carolina.

Mrs. Parker was a member of Southside Baptist Church in Mooresville, where she taught Sunday School. She enjoyed studying the Bible, gardening, tackling any household chore, and taking care of her three dogs. Mrs. Parker never met a stranger and was always busy doing something, helping neighbors and challenging herself. She loved volunteering at the Baptist Center in Statesville, consulting needy clients who came in for food, clothing, and toys for children; no one left the center before meeting Frances and hearing about Jesus. Frances enjoyed bird watching and could identify all of them. She was country to the bone and entertained us all with funny saying like, “doing fine as frog hair,” “well dadgum,” “messed up like a dog’s breakfast,” “a little powder a little paint makes a girl look like what she aint,” “crooked as a dog’s leg” and so many more.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 39 years, Billy Gene Parker Sr.; stepfather, Banks Coggins; stepson, James Lawrence (Larry) Parker; granddaughter, Amanda Dawn Edwards; sister, Helen Watkins; and nephew, Nantz Parker.

She is survived by her daughter, Lori Joyner, and her husband Sonny Joyner; son Ken Karriker; stepdaughter, Sandra Durand Parker Koch, and her husband Tom Koch; stepsons, Billy Gene Parker Jr. and wife Maudine Parker, Robert Bobby, and Dean Parker and wife Karyn Parker; grandchildren, Lance Parker, Michael Edwards, Shana Joyner, Brooke Joyner, Austin Joyner, Joshua Parker, Zachary Parker, Matthew Parker, and Travis Parker.

A private graveside service will be held on Thursday, December 11, at the Salisbury National Cemetery. The family will receive friends following the graveside service from 2 to 3 p.m. with a service following at 3 p.m. at Southside Baptist Church, Mooresville, with Rev. David Klinedinst and Rev. Hal Greene officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice & Palliative Care of Iredell County, 2347 Simonton Road, Statesville, NC 28625.
