Troutman is dressed up for the holidays and ready to light up the decorations along the greenway. The community is invited to join in these special events.

CHRISTMAS TREE LIGHTING DECEMBER 1

Troutman’s Annual Christmas Tree Lighting will be Monday, December 1, at 6 p.m. with music starting at 5:50 p.m. at the Troutman ESC Park (338 North Ave).

Join neighbors as the Town of Troutman lights up the Christmas season. Enjoy festive tunes from Troutman Elementary School bucket band, the Shinnsville United Church, Wesley Chapel, and ICAAS Theater Choir, and Miles Mann.

Enjoy hot cocoa and cookies provided by the Troutman Ruritan Club, coffee provided by Freedom Church, and visit with Santa around the tree!

DECEMBER 6 EVENTS

Rotary Club of Troutman Annual Breakfast With Santa

Santa Claus is coming to town to have breakfast with all of the good little boys and girls and moms and dads in the Troutman and surrounding areas.

Join him before he rides in the Christmas Parade on Saturday, December 6, from 7:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the South Iredell High School cafeteria.

All proceeds will benefit South Yadkin Baptist Association’s “Toy Stores for Jesus” and children within the community. Boxes will also be available for donations of non-perishable food and toys.

Tickets are $10 per person. Tickets for children ages 6 to 12 are $5, and children under 6 eat free.

Troutman Christmas Parade

The Troutman Christmas parade will be on Saturday, December 6, at 11 a.m. along Eastway Drive.

The parade will travel down Old Murdock Rd from the CATS facility to Eastway, ending at Troutman Baptist Church.

Participants and the community are invited to bring new, unwrapped toys for the Marine Corps’ Toys for Tots program. A special trailer will follow behind Santa to collect donations.

Parade entries are being accepted until Monday, December 1st. The application is available online at www.troutmannc.gov.

South Iredell Holiday Bazaar

Before or after the parade, community members can get into the festive spirit at the SIHS Holiday Bazaar on Saturday, December 6, from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the SIHS Gymnasium (299 Old Mountain Road).

Get in some early shopping for unique gifts and handcrafted treasures.

JINGLE RUN 5 K

The annual Jingle Run 5K is on Sunday, December 14, at 3 p.m. Community members are invited to get into the holiday spirit as they run or walk through the streets of Troutman, starting and finishing at Troutman Town Hall (400 North Eastway Drive).

This race, timed by McLelland Racing Team (MRT), welcomes participants of all fitness levels.

The $30 registration fee includes a finisher’s medal and a festive T-shirt to commemorate the accomplishment. Register by November 28 to guarantee a T-shirt in the right size.

Please consider donating a new toy or personal care item for My Sister’s House to support their holiday season. Items will be collected on race day.
