A large crowd gathered in Downtown Statesville on Thursday evening for the annual Christmas tree lighting ceremony. American Renaissance School’s chorus was on hand singing Christmas favorites and spreading holiday cheer. Afterwards, the crowd lit up with excitement when Santa Claus arrived in a vintage car.
