Nanci Moreau Meyer, 47, of Mocksville, N.C., a beloved mother, daughter, sister, and friend, passed away on December 2, 2025, at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center, following a brief illness. Born on May 22, 1978, in Holyoke, Mass., Nanci embodied a spirit of love and vitality that touched the lives of all who knew her.

Nanci dedicated her career to helping others as a phlebotomist, displaying her commitment to service and compassion. She earned her Associate Degree and was well on her way to completing her Bachelor’s Degree, reflecting her passion for education and personal growth. Nanci was known for her active lifestyle; she was always on the go, engaging in various activities and hobbies that brought her joy.

Family was the cornerstone of Nanci’s life. She cherished her two sons, Ethan Moreau (Ashley) and Isaiah Meyer, as well as her daughter, Abigale Moreau (Matt Kershner). Her love for her children was unparalleled, and she often expressed how they were her greatest treasure. Nanci is also survived by her mother, Mary Daly Cuzyk (Walter), who played a significant role in her life, along with two brothers, Joseph Moreau and his family, and Kenneth Moreau (Wendy) and their family. Her extended family, which includes aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins, will remember her fondly for the love and warmth she brought to their lives.

Throughout her life, Nanci passionately worked with individuals with special needs, demonstrating her unwavering dedication to making a positive impact in the community. She balanced her professional commitments with time spent enjoying the ocean, dining out with friends and family, and indulging in moments of leisure. Nanci was also very athletic, having played softball and basketball, and was a cheerleader in her earlier years, showcasing her spirited nature and love for competition.

Nanci’s passing leaves a profound void in the lives of her loved ones, particularly in the hearts of her children, who will carry her memory with them as a guiding light. She joins her father, Kenneth M. Moreau, and her grandmother, Nancy Daly, in eternal rest, where they will reunite and watch over her family.

As we remember Nanci Moreau Meyer, let us celebrate her loving spirit, her dedication to her family, and her commitment to helping others. She will be deeply missed but warmly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

A celebration of life service will be held Saturday, December 13, 2025, at 3 p.m. in the Nicholson Funeral Home Chapel.
