The deadline for candidates to file to run in local and state elections in 2026 is Friday, December 19. Several local races, including two seats in the N.C. General Assembly, remained uncontested following the first two weeks of candidate filing.
Here’s a rundown of the candidates who have filed so far:

My Christmas wish would be for legitimate, well funded, real conservative candidates , to file against bow tie boy Jeffrey and Vickie look at me Sawyer.
Both are corporate Republicans. It’s all about the money, not about the people.
