Iredell County Commissioner Brad J. Stroud Sr. announced Thursday that he is running for re-election, reaffirming his commitment to responsible leadership, transparency, and continued service to the residents of Iredell County.

“I have been honored to serve the people of Iredell County,” Stroud, a Republican, said in his campaign announcement. “Throughout my term, I have worked to keep county government fiscally responsible, accessible, and focused on the needs of our community. There is still important work ahead, and I am asking voters for the opportunity to continue serving.”
Stroud has dedicated his entire career to public service, serving in the U.S. Army for more than 20 years and later as the director of Iredell County Veteran Services for an additional 20 years. He is looking forward to the opportunity to continuing that lifelong commitment by serving all residents of Iredell County.
As a commissioner, Stroud said he has focused on:
• Responsible budgeting and fiscal accountability;
• Supporting public safety and essential county services; and
• Advocating for smart growth while protecting local communities
His said his re-election campaign will emphasize the importance of strong leadership, common-sense decision-making, and putting Iredell County residents first.
“Listening to our citizens and representing them with honesty and integrity will always be my top priority,” Stroud added.
