Mrs. Emma Jean Morrison Huggins, 93, was born in Iredell County, on June 2, 1932, to the late Blake Morrison Sr. and Gracie Bell Watts. She entered into eternal life on Saturday, December 20, 2025, at the S. Mitchell Mack Hospice House, Mooresville, N.C., following an extended illness.

Celebration of Life Services will be conducted Saturday, December 27, 2025, at The First Church (First Baptist Church on Garfield Street) Statesville at 1 p.m. Reverend Robinson, pastor, will officiate and Reverend Marcus T. Williams Sr. will eulogize. Members of the family will receive friends from 12 until 1 p.m. at the church prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the S. Mitchell Mack Hospice Center, 202 Williamson Road, Suite 201, Mooresville, NC 28117, in memory of Mrs. Emma Jean Huggins.

Mrs. Huggins will remain at Rutledge and Bigham Funeral Home until taken to the church by Horse and Buggy to lie in state at 11:30 a.m. Members of the family will assemble in the Fellowship Hall of the Church at 11:30 a.m., prior to the service.
