Miss Jessie Lee Turner, beloved daughter of the late Rosevelt Turner and Susie Lazenby Turner, was born in Iredell County on July 10, 1945. She departed this life on Wednesday, January 7, 2026, at Jurney Assisted Living Center in Statesville, N.C., following a lengthy illness.

She was a 1963 graduate of Morningside High School and received several Certificates in Business from Mitchell Community College. She was employed as an assistant at the Rental Uniform Company.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Johnny Lazenby and Christopher Turner; two sisters, Roxie Stevenson and Blanche Turner; three brothers-in-law, J. D. Feimster, Kenneth Gaither, and Thomas Stevenson; and a sister-in-law, Mary Lazenby.

She leaves to cherish the memory of her life, two brothers, Charles (Rosa) Turner of Chesterfield, Va., and Emmitt Ivory of Statesville; four sisters, Eugenia Feimster, Mary Gaither, Lana (J. W.) Houston and Brenda (Roger) Kincade, all of Statesville; a niece who was reared in the home, Tamara Minor; two great nephews who were reared in the home, James and Jay Minor; and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
