Mr. Ronald Lewis Clanton Jr., age 65, passed away on January 2, 2026. He was born in Iredell County, N.C., on September 1, 1960, to the late Ronald Lewis Clanton Sr. and Lillian Head Canton.

Lewis was a proud graduate of Appalachian State University, where he studied Communications. He went on to build a successful career in the field of Information Technology, where he was known for his intelligence, dedication, and problem-solving skills. An avid traveler and outdoorsman, Lewis especially cherished his fishing trips and his travels to Thailand, experiences that brought him great joy and lasting memories. He was a devoted animal lover and shared a special bond with his beloved dogs—Bella, Snuffle, Roxy, and Pudding—as well as his cherished cat, Munchkin.

Lewis will be remembered for his warmth, curiosity, and love for both adventure and companionship.

He is survived by his loving wife, Parichat “ Tim” Clanton, and his brother, Kevin Clanton.
