Annie Ruth Crouch Wike, 86, of Alexander County, N.C., passed away on Tuesday, January 20, 2026, at her home. She was born August 24, 1939, the daughter of the late Julius Shaver Crouch and Cora Lee Kirby Crouch.

Annie Ruth was an active member of Mt. Bethel United Methodist Church for many years. She was a loving mom and wife. She loved to travel to the beach and mountains. She enjoyed shopping and took great care of her husband during his declining health. She had worked as a secretary in the trucking industry and also worked in the furniture industry.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Mack Wike; her sisters, Tula Hall and Connie Blackburn; and her brothers, Stanley Crouch, Wayne Crouch, Ted Crouch, and Floyd Crouch.

Those left to cherish and honor Annie Ruth’s memories include her daughters, Julie Wike Fulbright of Taylorsville, and Lesa Wike Green of Statesville; her sons, Steven Christopher “Chris” Wike (Tonia) of Hickory, and Bradley Phillip Wike (special friend, Geata Fitzgerald); her grandchildren, Travis Wike (Amanda), Erin Church (Matt), Tabitha Clark (Will), Justin Wike, Joshua Wike (Skyler), Jeremiah Wike, Ashley Jenkins (Tim), and Nathan Wike; seven great-grandchildren; her sisters, Glenda Kanupp and Tressie Hudler; and a number of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

The family will have a private service at a later date.
