Through their thoughtful effort, Troop 373 and Pack 373 honored Dr. King’s memory in a way that continues his message of love, service, and unity.

Special to IFN

Troop 373 and Pack 373 from Grace Baptist Church worked together on Martin Luther King Jr. Day to make a meaningful contribution to the community by delivering 61 cake blessing boxes to Iredell Christian Ministries. The project was organized in honor of Dr. King’s birthday, reflecting his legacy of service, compassion, and commitment to helping others. Each cake blessing box contained ingredients to create a celebratory dessert, offering families in need the opportunity to share a moment of joy and togetherness. Leaders from both Troop 373 and Pack 373 expressed that this service activity not only supported local families but also helped teach Scouts the importance of giving back. By assembling and donating the boxes, Scouts were able to actively demonstrate the values of kindness and community responsibility.
