Special to IFN

The Iredell Arts Council invites the community to an evening of art and conversation featuring photographer Peter O’Reilly on Tuesday, February 4.

The program will be held from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at the Arts Council, located at 203 South Meeting Street in Statesville.

This event will highlight O’Reilly’s thoughtful and wide-ranging photographic work, which captures landscapes, cityscapes, and imaginative explorations of light and everyday moments.

O’Reilly’s path to photography is as compelling as his images. He began exploring the medium in his thirties and embraced photography as a serious art form around the age of sixty—bringing a lifetime of perspective to his work. A long-time member of the Mooresville Art Gallery, O’Reilly has exhibited widely throughout the region, including a solo exhibition and recent participation in the Mooresville Fine Arts Exhibition.

The opening reception is free and open to the public. Attendees are encouraged to enjoy downtown Statesville before or after the event, including visiting local restaurants and shopping destinations, and to take advantage of nearby public parking.
