Mr. Robert Lee White, affectionately known to many as Bobby, was born on July 23, 1957, in Davie County, N.C., to the late Robert Lewis White and Mary L. Bines. On Monday, February 2, 2026, Bobby answered God’s call and peacefully transitioned from this life into eternal rest.

Bobby attended school in Davie County and grew into a man known for his strong hands, hardworking spirit, and generous heart. He had a true passion for working on cars and doing body work—skills he proudly shared and perfected over the years. In quieter moments, Bobby found joy in fishing and spending time surrounded by those he loved most.

Above all else, Bobby loved the Lord. He cherished reading his Bible and spreading the Word of God whenever he had the opportunity. A God-fearing man, Bobby lived his life with unwavering faith, strength, and conviction. He was deeply caring, loving, and compassionate, leaving a lasting impression on everyone blessed to know him. Strong-willed and strong-minded, he stood firm in his beliefs and walked boldly in his purpose.

He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Lewis White, and his beloved son, Robert Lee Ferguson.

Bobby leaves to cherish his precious memory his loving mother, Mary L. Bines; his devoted siblings Larry Eugene White, Barbara White, Randy White, Audrey Baker, and Mary Ellis; and his children, Rontisha Dobbins, his only daughter; and his sons, Jabbar Stevenson, Fred Summers, and Teontae Heller.

He was a proud and devoted grandfather whose love extended deeply to his grandchildren, including
Rontisha’s children, Dwight Mumford, Tijayanna Dobbins, and Jashawn Dobbins; Jabbar’s children, Rykeen Richardson, the late Kareen Stevenson, and Makari Darty; Fred’s children, Tavis White, Kashiya Summers, Jacari Summers, and Kyan Goodson; and Robert’s children,Zakiya “Ky” Strickland and Robert Lee Ferguson Jr.

Bobby also leaves behind a host of great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends, all of whom will forever treasure his love, wisdom, and faith-filled spirit.

The family will receive friends on Monday, February 9, 2026 at 2 p.m. with the celebration of life service beginning at 2:30 p.m., at Rutledge and Bigham Mortuary.

Though Bobby has departed this earthly life, his legacy of faith, love, strength, and devotion will continue to live on through every life he touched. He will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and forever cherished.
