Thirty-three offenders, including a convicted murderer and four sex offenders, returned to Iredell County in May after being released by the N.C. Division of Prisons.

Orlando S. Bruner, 29, of Statesville was among the offenders who was paroled. He was convicted of second-degree murder and robbery with a dangerous weapon in September of 2012 for his role in the March 28, 2010, shooting death of Timothy Christopher Revel, 20, in Forsyth County.

Bruner assisted two other people in the murder, according to published reports. He was ordered to serve between 10 years and 12 years and nine months in prison. He will be on parole until January 31, 2021.

Seven of the offenders completed their prison sentences, according to the N.C. Department of Public Safety. The other 26 were released on parole.

The following individuals were released in May and returned to Iredell County:

Stephen R. Angel, 43, convicted of Level 3 DWI. Completed sentence.

Katelyn G. Clouse, 23, convicted of breaking and entering. Released on parole.

Benjamin J. Schenk, 57, convicted of selling a schedule II controlled substance. Released on parole.

Anthony D. Turner, 22, convicted of assault inflicting serious bodily injury. Released on parole.

Kenneth Roberts, 62, convicted of malicious conduct by a prisoner. Released on parole.

Lance G. Sigmon, 43, convicted of trafficking a schedule I controlled substance. Released on parole.

Daniel A. Welch, 33, convicted of breaking and entering. Released on parole.

Katherine E. Janvrin, 30, convicted of uttering a forged instrument. Completed sentence.
