A Troutman woman faces numerous charges after Iredell County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a stabbing near Mooresville.

Sheriff Darren Campbell announced the arrest of Chelsea Nicole Millsaps, 29, in a news release.

ICSO deputies responded to a report of a stabbing at an apartment complex on Thursday, December 10.

When the deputies arrived, they located a man who stated he and Millsaps got into an argument over a cell phone, according to the news release. After the argument turned physical, Millsaps stabbed the man, Campbell said.

The victim was treated at the scene by Iredell County Emergency Services personnel, but refused to be transported to the hospital.

Deputies Based obtained a warrant charging Millsaps with felony assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury.

On Friday, December 11, ICSO detectives went to 105 Overcash Road, where they found Millsaps hiding in a closet. After she was taken into custody, detectives discovered 5.42 grams of methamphetamine in her possession, according to the news release.

Millsaps was then taken to the Iredell County Detention Center, where she was charged with felony assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury, felony possession of methamphetamine, misdemeanor possession of a schedule III controlled substance, and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia.

Millsaps appeared before Magistrate Chambers, who issued a $50,000 secured bond on these charges.
