A Harmony man faces multiple drug charges after Iredell County Sheriff’s Office personnel seized marijuana and cocaine from a home on Gaither Road while executing a search warrant.

Sheriff Darren Campbell announced the arrest of Michael Rasheed Morris, 35, in a news release.

On Friday, December 18, ICSO Narcotics Unit detectives and deputies assigned to the Aggressive Criminal Enforcement Team executed a search warrant to 299 Galliher Road near Harmony, according to the news release.

During a search of the residence, investigators located marijuana, 5.96 grams of cocaine and 8.92 grams of crack cocaine, the sheriff said.

Narcotics detectives began investigating after receiving information that individuals at that residence were involved in the distribution of controlled substances, Campbell said.

Investigators identified the individuals staying at the home and purchased cocaine directly from Morris at the residence, according to the news release.

Upon execution of the search warrant, the deputies and investigators located two females and a small child at the residence. Morris was not there.

Narcotics investigators obtained warrants charging Morris with felony possession with intent to sell or deliver a schedule II controlled substance, felony possession with intent to sell or deliver a schedule II controlled substance and two misdemeanor drug offenses.

Morris was arrested on Tuesday, December 22, and taken to the Iredell County Detention Center. He appeared before Magistrate Nethken, who issued a $25,000 secured bond on these charges.
