Lt. Gov. Mark Robinson recently announced the launch of the North Carolina Medal of Valor webpage on the official Lt. Governor’s website.

The North Carolina Medal of Valor, established to recognize acts of extraordinary heroism and sacrifice by first responders, will recognize the unwavering courage and selflessness of our state’s residents.

Robinson expressed his commitment to acknowledging and honoring those who display exceptional bravery in the face of danger.

“The North Carolina Medal of Valor represents the highest form of recognition for those who demonstrate remarkable courage and selflessness. By establishing this dedicated webpage, we aim to ensure that the inspiring stories of our state’s heroes are heard and celebrated for generations to come,” he said.

Rep. Charlie Miller was a primary sponsor for the bill.

“Throughout my tenure, I have witnessed firsthand the dedication and unwavering commitment exhibited by our state’s first responders in the face of adversity. These brave men and women embody the true spirit of heroism, often risking their own safety to safeguard the lives of others.”
