The Annual Toys for Tots Benefit is scheduled for Sunday, December 14, at BoatYard Lake Norman, located at 18418 Statesville Road in Cornelius.

The event, which runs from 12 to 4 p.m., will feature live music by DialUp Radio along with warmup band Steel Caravan and special guest Shannon Stamper Music.

The community is invited to ride in, drive in or cruise in for the benefit, which brings hope and support to children through the nonprofit Marine Corps Foundation’s Toys for Tots program. Race car driver Chrissy Wallace will serve as the grand marshal. 

Participants will be greeted by the local Toys for Tots and Marine Corps Foundation volunteers. The event is open to the public with a simple donation of an unwrapped toy or financial gift valued at over $10.

The program supports children ages infant to 14. Please be sure gifts are unwrapped and age appropriate.

This is a great opportunity to join in with your clubs, groups, organizations, family and friends while supporting a mission started nearly 78 years ago.

Plan to join us with your contribution of one unwrapped toy or gift to help children experience the joy of Christmas or arrange for your toy drop off through December 15 at participating locations or wherever you see a Toys for Tots collection box.
