Special to IFN

Chocolate Chip & Company will take the stage on Friday as the Piedmont HealthCare Friday After 5 concert series returns to Downtown Statesville.

The free event begins at 5 p.m. in Downtown Statesville and promises a fun-filled evening of live music, local food, drinks, and family-friendly entertainment. The Chocolate Chip & Company performance begins at 6 p.m.

The Piedmont HealthCare Friday After 5 Summer concert series is also made possible by the presenting sponsorship of Flow of Statesville.

The concerts are held in Downtown Statesville on West Broad Street in front of Mitchell Community College from 5 to 8:30 p.m. Beer, wine, spirits, soft drinks, water, and food will be available for
purchase beginning at 5 p.m. Bring your chairs and enjoy a great night of music. Pets and coolers are not allowed.

This year, each Piedmont HealthCare Friday After 5 concert supports a local non-profit organization, offering them a booth to share information about their program and collecting donations on their behalf.

Start your evening by visiting the welcome tent at the entrance to purchase your tokens for $6 each (cash or card) before heading over to the beverage tent. Pick up dinner at one of our excellent food trucks before reclining to enjoy the show!

Red Buffalo Brewing will be on hand pouring their Clocktower IPA (6.6% ABV), Blue’sBerry Ale (5.2% ABV) and Mouthy Blonde Ale (4.5% ABV).

Andrea’s Ice Cream & Sweet Shop and Rolling Smoke BBQ food trucks will be serving food, sweets, water and soft drinks.
