Iredell County and the City of Statesville announced the following closings and schedule changes for Tuesday, November 11, in observance of Veterans Day.
City of Statesville
City of Statesville offices will be closed.
♦ Garbage Collection: No residential or commercial garbage collection will take place on Tuesday.
Residential Collection Schedule Changes: Tuesday and Wednesday routes will be collected on Wednesday.
Commercial Collection Schedule Changes: Tuesday and Wednesday routes will be collected on Wednesday.
♦ Rec Facilities: The Statesville Fitness & Activity Center and Bentley Community Center will also be closed on Tuesday, November 11.
Iredell County
Many Iredell County offices and services will be closed on Tuesday, including all units of:
• Animal Services and Control*
• Department of Social Services: Child, Family and Adult Services (Mooresville and Statesville locations)
• Elections Office
• Government Center (Administration, Finance)
• ICATS — office closed and no routes running; limited pickups running for dialysis patients
• Public Health (Mooresville and Statesville) — offices closed and no Mobile Health Unit clinic
• Public Library (Statesville, Harmony and Troutman branches)
• Register of Deeds Office
• Tax Office
• Veteran Services
Park and Recreation:
• Recreation Center – Open 8 a.m. – 4 p.m. on Tuesday, November 11.
• Parks – Open dawn to dusk year-round.
*Animal Services: Closed on Tuesday, November 11, with Animal Control Officers responding to animal-related emergencies only during this closure. Please call Emergency Communications at 704-878-5335, should you experience an animal-related emergency during this time. Additionally, the November rabies clinic has been moved to Thursday, November 13, from 12 to 5 p.m. inside the adoption lobby. This will be walk-in only with no appointments.
NOTE: All Iredell County Solid Waste Facilities will be open normal hours on Tuesday, November 11.
