Special to IFN

As part of its year-round film programming, the Full Bloom Film Festival will present a special screening of the cult classic “Harold and Maude” on Tuesday, May 13, at 7 p.m. at the Iredell Arts Council, located at 203 South Meeting Street in Statesville.

Tickets are $10 and will be available at the door. Doors open at 6:30 p.m.

Originally released in 1971, “Harold and Maude” is a genre-defying story of love, loss, and life. Directed by Hal Ashby, the film follows the unlikely bond between a death-obsessed young man and a spirited older woman who teaches him to embrace the world with joy. With its offbeat humor, philosophical depth, and unforgettable soundtrack by Cat Stevens, the film has earned its place as a cherished cinematic treasure.

This event is hosted by the Full Bloom Film Festival in collaboration with the Iredell Arts Council and supports the festival’s mission to bring meaningful, artistically driven cinema experiences to the community throughout the year, not just during the annual festival.
