Statesville Pride Alliance will host its second annual Murder Mystery fundraiser at the Statesville Civic Center on Friday, August 8, at 6 p.m.
Hosted by the Alliance and sponsored by local businesses and allies of the LGTBQIA+ community, the event is a major fundraiser in preparation of the upcoming fourth annual Pride Parade and Festival.
The Charlotte Murder Mystery Company returns with a cast of characters in “Hulas and Homicides.” The investigation is led by chief detective Ms. Tery with assistance from the audience as eight suspects are interviewed to solve the case.
During the luau, a feast prepared by John and Kelli and their team from Cafe 220, will be served by the footmen of the Historic Sharpe House. The Watering Hole will provide wine and beer for the event. Desserts by Crowning Events will top off the meal.
Doors to the luau will open at 6 p.m. The evening begins with a cocktail hour, silent auction and raffle.
