The Iredell Arts Council, the designated county partner for the State of North Carolina, has awarded 12 organizations across Iredell County a total of $64,152 through the 2025–2026 Grassroots Arts Grant program. This annual grant cycle supports arts programming, education and accessibility throughout the county.
On Tuesday, the Iredell Arts Council hosted a social to celebrate and congratulate the grant recipients, giving attendees an opportunity to connect, share their projects, and celebrate the vibrant arts community in Iredell County.
This year’s application process was highly competitive, reflecting the strength, creativity, and diversity of arts initiatives in our community.
The Iredell Arts Council is pleased to recognize the following organizations for their exceptional proposals and their commitment to enriching the cultural landscape of Iredell County:
♦ Iredell Statesville Schools – East Iredell Elementary;
♦ Friends of the Library;
♦ Theatre Statesville;
♦ Artist Escape;
♦ Thumbpickers;
♦ Speak Life & Live;
♦ Piedmont Folkways;
♦ Lake Norman Orchestra;
♦ Children’s Hope Alliance;
♦ Hearts Collaborative:
♦ Mooresville Arts; and
♦ Insomniacs, Inc.
“These grants highlight the incredible creative and quality arts programming happening in Iredell County,” said Sydney Koppelmeyer, executive director of the Iredell Arts Council. “IAC is proud to serve as a grant funnel to these organizations. We truly live in a thriving arts county.”
These grants support a wide range of arts programming, ranging from music and theatre to visual arts, cultural heritage, and youth engagement.
The Iredell Arts Council looks forward to the impact these projects will bring to communities throughout the county.
