The Iredell County Community Foundation announced Tuesday that has awarded $180,000 in grants this year to support the work of 27 local nonprofits. These grants will help fund programs that strengthen our community through investments in education, food, nutrition & agriculture, housing and shelter, and human services.
This year’s grantees include:

♦ Children’s Hope Alliance – $10,000
♦ Classroom Central – $2,500
♦ Fifth Street Ministries – $5,000
♦ FeedNC – $7,000
♦ Habitat for Humanity of Charlotte – $7,750
♦ HealthReach Community Clinic – $12,500
♦ Hope of Mooresville – $5,000
♦ ICARE Inc. – $4,000
♦ Insomniacs Inc. – $3,384
♦ Iredell County Crosby Scholars Community Partnership – $5,000
♦ Iredell Friends of the Library – $5,000
♦ Lifespan Services Inc. – $5,000
♦ Mooresville Area Christian Mission – $7,500
♦ North Carolina Symphony – $3,000
♦ Piedmont Mediation Center Inc. – $2,000
♦ Piedmont Veterans Assistance Council – $7,500
♦ Rescue Ranch – $3,210
♦ Rocky River Trout Unlimited – $1,000
♦ Sleep in Heavenly Peace Inc. – $2,500
♦ Speak Life and Live – $5,000
♦ Special Olympics North Carolina – $4,500
♦ Stan Greenspon Center – $2,500
♦ United Way of Iredell County – $50,000
♦ Veterans Bridge Home – $5,000
♦ YMCA Northwest North Carolina – $9,000
