JMS Southeast Inc. and Statesville Process Instruments Inc. donated $837 to Pharos Parenting in August, thanks to proceeds from their employee vending machines.

The companies purchase snacks and drinks for their vending machines, apply a 100 percent markup, and donate the profits to local charities.

“We are so glad to be a recipient of these donations year after year,” said Nate Saunders, communications director for Pharos Parenting. “This is a simple, yet impactful way that local organizations can support non-profits like Pharos Parenting. JMS Southeast and Statesville Process Instruments have supported us for many years, and we are so grateful for them.”

JMS Southeast designs and manufactures standard and custom temperature sensors, including thermocouples, RTDs and thermowells. The company was founded in 1980 and operates out of its facility on Temperature Lane in Statesville.

Since 1987, Pharos Parenting’s mission has been to build positive parenting skills through targeted education, in-home coaching, and supportive intervention programs. A registered 501(c)(3) non-profit, the organization is located in Statesville and serves parents and children of Iredell and north Mecklenburg counties.
