A Mooresville man faces numerous felony charges, including drug trafficking and selling narcotics within 1,000 feet of a school, following an investigation by the Mooresville Police Department.

The MPD announced the arrest of Bobby Arnett Nicholson, 46, in a news release Tuesday.

Nicholson was taken into custody on Monday after MPD narcotics detectives executed a search warrant at a residence located at 336 Alexander Street, police said.

During the search, MPD personnel seized 1.85 ounces (52.9 grams) of cocaine, 6.5 grams of crack cocaine, and 4.9 ounces (140 grams) of marijuana, police said.

Mooresville was charged with Trafficking in Cocaine, two counts of Possession with Intent to Sell and Deliver Cocaine, two counts of Felony Possession of Cocaine, Possession with Intent to Sell and Deliver Marijuana, Felony Possession of Marijuana, Felony Maintaining a Dwelling for the Sale of Narcotics, Sale of Narcotics within 1,000 Feet of a School and a misdemeanor drug offense.

Nicholson was taken to the Iredell County Detention Center, where a magistrate set his bond at $500,000.
