NC 211 and Project Haven are proud to announce a new partnership designed to strengthen support for underserved families across North Carolina. By combining NC 211’s statewide resource database with Project Haven’s trusted community outreach efforts, this collaboration will help ensure that vital information and services reach households who may otherwise go without.
Project Haven, an emerging community-based organization out of Duke University, has built strong connections in neighborhoods where barriers to resources remain high. The organization has partnered with the American Red Cross to provide fire safety devices, with Root Causes to promote healthy food access in Durham, and has engaged in direct outreach by distributing flyers door-to-door to raise awareness of available services.
NC 211, operated by United Way of North Carolina, maintains one of the most comprehensive resource databases in the state — covering food assistance, housing, healthcare, childcare, disaster response, and more.
“By working together, NC 211 and Project Haven can bridge the gap for families who may not yet know where to turn,” said United Way of North Carolina Senior Director of Operations David Mercado. “This partnership is about meeting people where they are and making sure no one is left behind when it comes to essential services.”
As Project Haven continues to grow its presence and NC 211 expands its reach, both organizations are committed to creating a stronger safety net for North Carolina communities.
