Nominations are now being accepted for the Class of 2026 of the Iredell County Sports Hall of Fame.

Nomination forms are available online at www.iredellsportshalloffame.org and should be returned to ICSHoF, c/o Iredell-Statesville Schools, 294 Old Murdock Road, Suite 102, Troutman, NC 28166 (Attn: Bobby Deal).

Once an application has been submitted it remains in the hands of the committee for consideration in following years. It may be amended at any time and resubmitted.

The deadline to submit applications for the Class of 2026 is March 1, 2026, at midnight.

Requirements

♦ The candidate must have been a resident of Iredell County for a minimum of three years or contributed to Iredell County sports for three years or more.

♦ The candidate must be of good character and reputation.

♦ The candidate’s sports achievements and/or contributions must have been recognized throughout Iredell County as enhancing the sports activity he/she represents.

♦ All candidates shall be considered without discrimination on the basis of race, color, religion, gender, age, handicap or national origin.

♦ Candidates, to be considered, will make every effort to have complete accompanying information as required on the nomination form.

The Iredell Sports Hall of Fame Committee may select an inductee by acclamation with a unanimous vote of all members, without all the required paperwork.

The committee members are often asked why certain individuals are not in the Hall of Fame. The reason is often that the person has not been nominated.

2025 Induction Ceremony

The 2026 Induction Ceremony will be conducted at 6 p.m. on May 18, 2026 at the Statesville Civic Center. Outstanding senior athletes from all the county high schools will also be honored at the banquet, and a male and female senior athlete of the year be selected by the committee.
