Pharos Parenting will expand its reach this summer by offering a Mooresville-based class for parents called Nailed It! with Love and Logic.

Held from 6 to 8 p.m. on Mondays, from June 30 through September 15, the class will be located at the United Way of Iredell County office at 404 N Main Street in Mooresville.

“It’s been a while since we hosted a parenting class in Mooresville, and we’ve had a lot of interest lately,” said Heather Jurgensen, parent coach at Pharos Parenting. “We are excited to offer classes there again and in a new location! We serve all of Iredell and North Mecklenburg counties, and hosting parenting classes only at our Statesville office can be a barrier for families who live in the southern part of the county. We’re hoping to continue offering more Mooresville classes in the future!”

The class will cover topics that every parent can relate to, such as putting an end to arguing, stopping back talk and begging, teaching responsibility without losing their love, setting limits without waging war, avoiding power struggles, guiding kids to own and solve their problems, and teaching kids to complete chores without reminders or pay.

This class is offered free to the public thanks to sponsorship from Raymer Oil Company. Although the class is free, an RSVP is required due to limited space. To sign up, call 704-878-2227.

Pharos Parenting offers eight different types of parenting classes throughout the year, and the Nailed It! with Love and Logic class is beneficial for any parent with children ages over 4 years old.

Since 1987 Pharos Parenting’s mission has been to build positive parenting skills through targeted education, in-home coaching, and supportive intervention programs. A registered 501(c)(3) non-profit located in Statesville, Pharos serve parents and children of Iredell and North Mecklenburg counties.
