Fort Dobbs State Historic Site showcased local trades from 1756 on Saturday. Visitors had a chance to step back in time and get a glimpse of how things were done around the Fourth Creek Settlement. Costumed interpreters demonstrated blacksmithing, bread baking, brick making, and carpentry. Other skills included making clothes, tar, and preparing various foods. Visitors also enjoyed learning about the French & Indian War and the history of Fort Dobbs while touring the fort.
