Fifty organizations, churches, nonprofits, and businesses lined the ESC Park Fitness Trail on Friday afternoon to hand out treats to about 2,000 kids and their families in a safe and fun Halloween experience.

The event was sponsored by House Doctors of Mooresville and Kids Lift.

Attendees filed past decorated booths, with many costumed characters handing out toys and candy.

Town staff also collected non-perishable food items to help restock the Town Hall Blessing Box. Donations continue to be welcome during business hours (Monday-Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.) at the Parks & Rec Office, located at 334 North Avenue in Troutman.
