STATESVILLE, NC — The applicant for the proposed rezoning of approximately 51.525 acres along Josey Road has formally withdrawn the request from consideration by the Iredell County Planning Board and Board of County Commissioners.
The application, submitted by Harry Tsumas of Metrolina Capital Partners, LLC on behalf of property owner Mark K. Miller of Marno, LLC, sought to rezone five parcels from Residential Agricultural (RA) to Highway Business (HB) for potential future commercial development. During the June 4 Planning Board meeting, Tsumas shared that with the anticipated Love’s Travel Plaza being built, it was envisioned to use that land for additional truck parking and specialized amenities for truck drivers.
No further action will be taken on this request at this time.
