Congressman Pat Harrigan on Sunday expressed his support for the U.S. military strikes targeting Iranian nuclear facilities in three locations.
“The United States executed a highly successful strategic strike against Iran’s nuclear weapons infrastructure,” Harrigan said in a news release. “Our B-2 bombers penetrated deep into Iranian airspace, struck critical facilities at Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan, and completed the mission without detection or resistance. This operation demonstrates the unmatched precision, reach, and effectiveness of American military power.”
Harrigan, a Republican who represents Iredell County in the U.S. House, said President Trump had offered the Iranian government a diplomatic solution while promising a military response if the regime did not acquiesce.
“I fully support the President’s decision,” Harrigan said. “These strikes were necessary to prevent Iran from acquiring a nuclear weapon and to protect American lives in the region. They reflect a return to serious foreign policy—rooted in deterrence, strength, and the strategic clarity our adversaries understand.”
Harrigan also offered praise for the military service members who carried out the mission.
“Their professionalism, courage, and technical skill remind the world that the United States remains capable, decisive, and unwilling to allow hostile regimes to threaten global security with impunity,” he said.
